We are 100% owner operators, NO company drivers. The great thing about Renegade Transportation Inc and Renegade Heavy Haul is our size! We are not the largest Owner-Operator Company in North America. This allows you the ability to choose how you run (regional, long haul, short haul, etc), how long you stay out, what parts of the country you wish to drive in, and what type of freight you wish to haul (van, flat bed, step deck, reefer, hot shot, over-size, etc).

Freedom is having access to a large, diverse non-expedited freight base twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, to help you reposition your truck when necessary. Minimum Requirements

At least 21 years old
-
A valid CDL. Your CDL must be from the state that you declare to be your point of permanent domicile.

Must provide no less than 3 years of driving work history, non driving work history for the past five years (you will need this at orientation to complete paperwork).

Previous employers and references will be checked and must be verifiable.

A stable work history and good references (for experienced drivers no more than 3 employers in last year).
-
No Abandoned Trucks at previous employers.
-
Successfully complete the starting classes for Contractors or Orientation for employees.
Safety Issues for CDL Holders:
- No failed or refused drug or alcohol test in the last three years (this includes DWI's, DUI's and BAC's).
- No reckless driving convictions in the last three years.
- No license suspension for points in the last three years.
- No more than three moving violations during the last year.
- Must have no more than four moving violations and / or accidents during the last three years.
Documents:
- Have required documents to complete the US Department of Justice INS I-9 work form, or certified state copy of birth certificate or US passport and if not a US Citizen, all required valid work authorization documents. - In addition to your CDL you must carry and present one or more of the following
- US Passport
- State Certified Copy of Birth Certificate
- INS paperwork that shows US Citizenship or that permanent alien residence has been established and is current.
- Be prepared to apply for a TWIC card if driver does not already possess one.
- Successful completion of Renegade's orientation program.
Criminal History:
- No felony convictions within the last seven years; time starts once your probation or parole is completed. Convictions older than seven years will be considered on a case by case basis.
- No Controlled substance events in past seven years.
- Crimes involving dishonesty, theft, or fraud are disqualifying events, other issues will be considered on a case by case basis.
- Have not been incarcerated within last five years.

- Must be able to aquire a United States Passport
Must be able to speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries and to make entries on reports and records.

Power Only without Trailer (70%)
Own Van Trailer (70%)
Own Flatbed or Step Deck Trailer (70%)

Own Specialized Trailer including double drop, tri-axle, insulated van (70%)
Own Heavy Haul Trailer (4 or more axles) Trailer (70%)
Escrow - A $2500.00 maintenance escrow is optional. Deducted at $100.00 per week for 25 weeks.
Plates * - Kansas annual base plate paid by LESSOR of $1,650.00. (Semi)
Permits* - Annual permit cost $210. Deducted at $11.67 per week for 18 weeks.
OD Permits and Pilot (s) paid by O/O at cost
Communications ** A cell phone is required as a minimum communications device.
